Stop 1: Largo di Torre Argentina – Pizza & Julius Caesar
We'll begin in Largo di Torre Argentina, home to the ruins where Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 BC. As we enjoy a classic slice of Roman pizza, I'll introduce you to Italy's pizza culture, explaining what makes Roman-style pizza unique and how it became an essential part of everyday life.
Stop 2: Piazza Mattei
From there, we'll wander through the charming backstreets to Piazza Mattei, one of Rome's most beautiful hidden squares. Here we'll admire the famous Fountain of the Turtles while exploring the Renaissance and Baroque transformation of Rome, discovering how powerful families shaped the city we see today.
Stop 3: The Jewish Ghetto – Carciofi alla Giudia
Next, we'll enter Rome's historic Jewish Ghetto, one of the oldest Jewish communities in Europe.
